CYBERNEKO – Limited Edition Figurine.

The MANEKI-NEKO 招き猫 (beckoning cat) is a symbol of luck and prosperity, found in many homes and businesses, throughout Asia and much of the world.

In the graphic novel KINGDOM UNITED, Neeta Rao, the main protagonist is anxious to protect her friends and colleagues as well as the occasional stray cat that she saves from the street. For Neeta, the cat is the ultimate symbol of resilience and independance, yet also able to give quiet affection and companionship.

She wears T-shirts printed with lucky cats and she keeps collectible cat toys as a reminder of her childhood in Katong, where she grew up in Singapore. Her late mother used to tell bedside stories about a wily tabby cat roaming the back alleys at night to defend his neighbourhood against all sorts of nasty people.

“CYBERNEKO O-Tabbi” is the 21st century version of lucky cats seen in KINGDOM UNITED. Created by author, artist and designer Henry Chebaane, CYBERNEKO O-Tabbi is now available as a limited edition pop art collectible. BUY HERE

Inspired by his love of Cyberpunk stories, Manga, Anime and Asian cultures, CYBERNEKO O-Tabbi stands at 23cm/9″ high of pure, awesome, feline cheekiness. There are currently three limited edition releases: EARL GREY, MOON BLOOM, MYSTIC BLACK.

PLEASE NOTE that each figure is cast in vinyl, then hand-painted in 5 colours. They have been cast in five parts, so theoretically head and shoulders can rotate but it is advisable not to play with it and it is definitively NOT FOR CHILDREN.
